Ceder

Hoje o dia é frio.
Sinto as costas a encurvar,
Retorcer, encolher,
Sem ter fim, nem princípio.
Sim, sinto tudo isto!
Porque o dia hoje é frio.
Guardo nas vértebras,
Momentos de calor,
Escondidos e a mirrar,
Estão prestes a desaparecer.
Sinto as costas a ceder
Neste dia de tanto frio.

TO GIVE IN

Today the day is cold.
I feel my back bending,
twisting, shrinking,
without end, or beginning.
Yes, I feel it all!
Because the day today is cold.
I save in the vertebrae,
Moments of heat,
hidden and wither,
They are about to disappear.
I feel my back giving in
In this day of so much cold.

Recorte Natural

This canvas as a flat surface of communication establishes a parallel connection with the posterior plan, a real three dimensionality gained through the cutouts. The removal of material draws at their own pace an organic element, a leaf. The addiction of light, visible through the cutouts, gives importance to the symbol.
